Damage 03:26
I watched you drive away, every single one of you. That look was on your face, you were hopeful but afraid. Returning to that place, that hollow lifeless space, I am rotting in my cage, afraid i’ll never leave. I tried not to let hours of thinking get to me. I haven’t got ‘em yet, but all the answers will show up someday. What have I done now, is it too late to stop running in circles and start trying To look for the answers if they exist, To fix all this damage that I have inflicted on me? And lately I’ve been thinking about what it is we’re doing right now. Am I just working towards nothing? Am I destined to stay In place? Do you know what it’s like to feel nothing on top of everything? Both my shoulders pressed to the wheel, over and over again.

Rough Ride 03:18
I’ve been working for the last eight hours, but I’ve still got a few to go. It just feels like we’re never gonna get to go home. But your face is all I need to keep me going through the day, it’s gone. But we all know things just don’t work out easy, but I’m willing to try, If you’re willing to come along with me for this rough ride. But we all know things just don’t work out easy, but I’m willing to try, If you’re willing to come along with me for thIs rough ride. It’s another 30 hour week of bosses underappreciating everything, As I work these fingers to the bone, I can tell that they don't care at all, Why do i come back anyway? It feels so long, but you’re the only thing that keeps me going.

Every day gets a little bit easier, I say, but I lie. Had enough, you know, I’ve had enough attitude out of you. Nowhere, you’re going nowhere, if you keep this up. You’ve got a life to look forward to, why do you waste your days? You’ve got a brain inside your head, why don’t you use it? Every day gets a little bit easier, I say, but I lie. ‘Cause happiness always seems too far away just to get up and try. Still I try just to do it right this time. Still I try to improve my Attitude, It’s too much attitude. I’ve had enough out of you. You’ve got a brain inside your head, why don’t you use it? You’ve got the means to leave this place, why don’t you go away? Every day gets a little bit easier, I say, but I lie.

On Leaving 01:19
You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place, Like you’ll not only miss the people you love, the feelings felt, relationships you’ve built, But you’ll miss the person that you are now at this time and place. Because you’ll never be this way ever again. Every time i sit and write down lines about moving on, I get this feeling of hope, This feeling that maybe someday things will actually get better, I guess that remains to be seen, But i’m ready to find out. No regrets, no remorse. Thanks for leaving. Thanks for leaving.

Empty Shoes 03:46
Remember when you promised me that we’d always do this for as long as we live? And you made me promise, too. Well, here I am, standing while you’re off on your own. And I don’t know if you were just being insincere, But you’re gone and I’m still here. Go ahead, reach for it. Reach deep down into that endless bag of excuses. Blame yourself, no one else. ‘Cause we’re all giving arm and leg to make this work. You resemble what you’ve seen, never as good as you appear. All your daydream beginnings and hollywood endings are the reason you’re not here. I hope you miss the man I was, 'cause I'm not him that's for sure. I hope you miss all that we had, 'cause I don't want you anymore. So thanks for staying, thanks for leaving. Now I know that i don’t need you. So thanks for staying, thanks for leaving. Now I know that you just don’t care, You never really cared.

Dover Road 02:57
Red eyes and whitened, tightly clenched fists, Waiting for a moment, an excuse just to let loose on them. Goodbyes and passive-aggressiveness Just holding back a moment they know could change everything. Is there a way, To rewind it all back to when everything was okay? Breaking the silence is deafening, Screaming from the belly to the top of the throat. And we watch as comfort breaks away, Falling apart to the floor like the tears from your face. But is there a way, Is there a way to escape from this war zone that we all create? Maybe we’ll give up and live again, Maybe we’ll give up and let this end. Maybe we’ll give up and live again. Maybe, oh maybe. Don’t leave us all alone, Don’t let this take us all.

Morale 03:17
I think I might be drowning in this lifestyle of regret, And if there’s peace to find in this life I just haven’t found it yet. I feel like I’m freezing in the shadow of all my past mistakes, Afraid to step into the light of day. You feel like you’re searching for a light inside a cave, With no warmth to grasp for comfort, and no lamp to light your way. You feel like you’re searching for an escape, a place to go away, A place where you and I can finally breathe. And we ask ourselves every day, “Did I choose correctly, did I just fuck up everything?” So blinded by uncertainty. Let me be the hope that can light the way and I’ll just let my voice say what it has to say. We’ve been walking blind, but now I see That we don’t have to be so certain of every choice we make, of every step we take. We’re taking steps towards tomorrow, steps with our eyes closed, not knowing where we’ll go. And we’ll just keep moving forward, no turning back now, nowhere to go back to. Take a deep breath and don’t let your fear freeze your steps, don’t look down, just look forward.
